Baseball Recap: Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Clarksville

Christian Academy won the last time they faced Clarksville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors blew past the Generals 12-2. Considering the Warriors have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jonah Whitehead made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Christian Academy is 3-1 when Whitehead posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Porter Ritchie was incredible, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He is becoming a predictor of Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Adrien Bryson, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Clarksville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-7 win against New Washington on the 9th. As for Clarksville, they have also already played their next game, a 13-6 defeat against South Central on the 7th.
