Baseball Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Putnam County Panthers
Princeton's last matchup with Putnam County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Saturday. The Tigers lost 12-0 to the Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 13-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.
Princeton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ace Christiansen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.
Princeton dropped their record down to 8-8-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Putnam County, they moved to 16-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will square off against Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Putnam County, they will face off against St. Bede at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
