There's no place like home for Concord, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Alhambra Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Concord walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Jumaiya Tabayoyong paced Concord's offense, picking up 14 kills. Tabayoyong got some help from Levi Serrano and his 27 assists. Serrano was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Concord picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-10. As for Alhambra, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Concord will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mt. Diablo at 5:00 p.m. As for Alhambra, they will head out on the road to square off against Sonoma Valley at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
