Softball Recap: New Hampton School Takes a Loss

The New Hampton School Huskies came up short against the Phillips Exeter Academy Lions on Wednesday, falling 13-7. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abby Schrader was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Hernandez, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

New Hampton School's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Phillips Exeter Academy, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. New Hampton School is set to face off against their familiar foe Kimball Union Academy at 2:30 p.m. on the 23rd. Meanwhile, Phillips Exeter Academy will challenge rival Austin Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
