Basketball Game Preview: Providence Pioneers vs. Henryville Hornets

The Providence Pioneers will venture away from home to square off against the Henryville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Providence will head out to face Henryville after giving up their first home loss of the season on Saturday. Providence took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jeffersonville.

Meanwhile, Henryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 62-52 to Clarksville.

Henryville's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Providence, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.

Everything came up roses for Providence against Henryville when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 75-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Providence since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
