Basketball Game Preview: Coquille Red Devils vs. Glide Wildcats

Coquille is a perfect 10-0 against Glide since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Coquille Red Devils will host the Glide Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Coquille will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Coquille was fully in charge, breezing past Siuslaw 47-9. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glide). They blew past Douglas, posting a 50-14 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

Coquille's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.1 points over those games. As for Glide, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

Coquille took their win against Glide in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 48-22. Will Coquille repeat their success, or does Glide have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
