Basketball Recap: Garrett Morgan Takes a Loss

Garrett Morgan played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 48-21 loss at the hands of the Holy Name Green Wave. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-8.

Nailah Majeed was Garrett Morgan's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Anylaih Moore held things down on the boards with 14 rebounds. Osmeiry Garcia took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Garrett Morgan now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Holy Name, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrett Morgan will head out to take on Harvey at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holy Name, they are taking a road trip to face off against Beaumont School at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
