Basketball Game Preview: Killian Hill Christian Cougars vs. Horizon Christian Academy Warriors

Killian Hill Christian hasn't had much luck against Horizon Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Killian Hill Christian Cougars will get right back to it and host the Horizon Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Killian Hill Christian will be strutting in after a win while Horizon Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with 13 defeats in a row, Killian Hill Christian turned things around against Peachtree Academy on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 48-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since January 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, Horizon Christian Academy entered their game against Lanier Christian Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Horizon Christian Academy fell to Lanier Christian Academy 67-62. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Lightning are ranked 129th).

Horizon Christian Academy's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-6. As for Killian Hill Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.

Killian Hill Christian lost to Horizon Christian Academy at home by a decisive 50-34 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2019. Can Killian Hill Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
