Baseball Recap: Westbrook Takes a Loss

Westbrook came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Sanford Spartans, falling 12-2. The Blue Blazes haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Westbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Girard, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Westbrook now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sanford, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Westbrook will take on rival Cheverus at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sanford is set to challenge their familiar foe Bonny Eagle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
