The Byron Nelson Bobcat will square off against the Mansfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron Nelson will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

If Byron Nelson beats Mansfield with 42 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Bobcat strolled past Keller Central with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-28. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Bobcat were the better team in the second half.

Parker Almanza had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 66 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 149 yards and two TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Macavion Hill was another key player, rushing for 74 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mansfield). They enjoyed a cozy 55-41 win over Weatherford on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Kangaroos are ranked 678th).

The victory got Mansfield back to even at 5-5. As for Byron Nelson, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
