Calallen hasn't had much luck against Reagan recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Rattlers at 1:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Calallen sitting on three straight wins and Reagan on six.
Calallen's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Zapata 13-0. Considering the Wildcats have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Drayton Mitchell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Chase Lynch was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Blake Quinn was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Calallen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Brandeis typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Reagan proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Rattlers have won by just one run.
Reagan pushed their record up to 21-7-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Calallen, their record now sits at 26-1.
Calallen came out on top in a nail-biter against Reagan when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
