Volleyball Recap: Diamond Takes a Loss

Diamond lost against Strafford back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Indians, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Strafford scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-17.

Aubrey Ball paced Diamond's offense, picking up nine kills. Ball got some help from Kenzie Crook and her four assists.

Strafford can attribute much of their success to Brooklynne Lumley, who had three digs and three aces. What's more, Lumley posted four assists, the most she's had over her last 13 matchups.

Diamond's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Strafford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-2-2.

Diamond didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Miller on the 7th. As for Strafford, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Hollister on the 7th.
