Recap: Douglas County West Falcon vs. Louisville Lions
The Douglas County West Falcon posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 60-24 win over Louisville on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-9.
Grace Holm continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Malousek, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Kylie Gaston and Lilly Bax certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Gaston scored eight points, while Bax scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Douglas County West and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Louisville, they bumped their record down to 4-12 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas County West will face off against Yutan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yutan is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Louisville, they will head out on the road to challenge Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Arlington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
