Volleyball Game Preview: Oregon Hawks vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

The Oregon Hawks will challenge the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Erie-Prophetstown took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Oregon, who comes in off a win.

Oregon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Hall by a score of 2-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Oregon never let Hall on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown entered their matchup against Morrison last Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Mustangs.

Erie-Prophetstown might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Morrison: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24.

Oregon will need to focus on slowing down Brooks Ellah, one of several Erie-Prophetstown players who made an impact when they last played. She had 11 digs.

Oregon's victory bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Erie-Prophetstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 31-4.

Oregon couldn't quite get it done against Erie-Prophetstown when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
