Baseball Game Preview: Rhodes Rams vs. Garrett Morgan Falcons

The Rhodes Rams will square off against the Garrett Morgan Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rhodes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Rhodes couldn't beat Columbia on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Rams lost 16-6 to the Raiders.

Roberto Benitez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Cardenas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Garrett Morgan entered their tilt with Cleveland Central Catholic on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over the Ironmen. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Garrett Morgan pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Rhodes, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Everything went Rhodes' way against Garrett Morgan in their previous meeting back in April, as Rhodes made off with a 12-2 victory. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
