Volleyball Recap: Prentice Beats Rhinelander for Their Fourth Straight Win

Prentice had won three straight games and Piper Heikkinen did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Buccaneers came out on top against the Rhinelander Hodags by a score of 2-0 thanks in part to Heikkinen, who had 13 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While Prentice won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22.

Prentice's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Rhinelander, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Coincidentally, Prentice and Rhinelander will both be playing Amherst the next time they take the court. The Buccaneers will head out to face the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hodags will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
