Football Recap: Taylor County's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Taylor County won the last time they faced Wakulla, and Jabez Glanton did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs secured a 27-21 W over the War Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Glanton, who rushed for 211 yards and two scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.

Wakulla's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Barnes, who gained 224 total yards and three touchdowns, and Owen Klees, who threw for 295 yards and one TD while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. Barnes' receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 receiving yards dating back to last season. 94 of Klees' passing yards were hauled in by Jayden Jean.

Taylor County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 24 points this season. As for Wakulla, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor County will square off against Dixie County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wakulla, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
