Volleyball Recap: Isabella Mcclinton and Avery Krause Secure Win for Cherokee Trail

After losing to Cherry Creek the last time they met, Cherokee Trail decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bruins on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Cougars' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Leading Cherokee Trail to victory were Avery Krause and Isabella McClinton. Krause had 31 assists and 12 digs, while McClinton had ten digs. Krause is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Cherry Creek still got an impressive performance from Riley Harfman, who had 14 assists and nine digs.

Cherokee Trail has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Cherry Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Cherokee Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cherry Creek, they will square off against Palmer Ridge at 9:45 p.m. on Friday.
