Broken Bow hadn't beaten Poteau on the road since October 27, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Savages put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 36-14 win. Broken Bow's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greydon Howell, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 225 yards and one TD while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. Dejhaun Hall was Howell's top target, picking up 158 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground.

Broken Bow pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points over those games. As for Poteau, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.
