Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Biggs walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 33-6 win over the Portola Tigers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolverines needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Biggs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brayden Martin and Cashten Acosta. Acosta also rushed for 144 rushing yards, which is notable because Biggs is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 3-4 otherwise. Martin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.5 points on average over those games. As for Portola, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Biggs will head out to square off against Maxwell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Portola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
