Baseball Recap: Sylacauga Comes Up Short

Sylacauga was the 8-4 winner over Central of Clay County when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Aggies fell just short of the Volunteers by a score of 10-9 on Thursday.

Sylacauga's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Central of Clay County, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Volunteers beat Sylacauga by a score of 6-3 later that day.
