Soccer Game Preview: Iroquois West vs. Bishop McNamara

The Iroquois West Raiders will take on the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Iroquois West proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by five) and last Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hoopeston, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Iroquois West were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Bishop McNamara got their first taste of in-conference action last Tuesday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Marian Central Catholic by a score of 4-2. Four seems to be a good number for Bishop McNamara as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Iroquois West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matchups. As for Bishop McNamara, their victory bumped their record up to 2-19.
