Basketball Recap: Durango Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Durango lost to Palisade back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Durango Demons enjoyed a cozy 61-47 victory over the Palisade Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.

Despite the loss, Palisade still got an impressive performance from Hunter Howard, who went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. Howard is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Todd Nordenson, who posted four points and ten boards.

Durango's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game.
