Pekin is 2-8 against Washington since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Dragons are taking a road trip to face off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Pekin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Pekin is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They fell 6-1 to Dunlap.

Pekin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taryn Didanato, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Lily Towery also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Washington faced Metamora in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Panthers won by a run and slipped past the Redbirds 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Pekin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Washington, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Pekin suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Washington when the teams last played back in April. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
