Soccer Game Preview: Del Rio vs. Canyon

The Del Rio Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Canyon Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Del Rio has given up an average of 3.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

While the 5-5 score might suggest a draw, it was Eagle Pass who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Eagle Pass got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Del Rio's two. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Del Rio will be up against a hot Canyon team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Canyon came out on top against San Marcos by a score of 3-1 on Friday. Three seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Del Rio's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-6.
