Rory Burke ?25 was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Ellie Mclaughlin ?26 was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs and one double.
Walla Walla always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Walla Walla's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Southridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Southridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Walla Walla struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
