Strake Jesuit waltzed into their match on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Their defense stepped up to hand the Alief Hastings Bears a 5-0 shutout. Considering the Fighting Crusaders have won 11 games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Strake Jesuit's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five contests. As for Alief Hastings, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Strake Jesuit will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Foster at 7:30 p.m. Foster's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
