It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Augustine Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bishop Eustace Prep Crusaders 7-5. Those seven runs were actually the fewest the Hermits have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

St. Augustine Prep pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Bishop Eustace Prep, they moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Augustine Prep will take on Egg Harbor Township at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Eustace Prep, they will face off against Cherry Hill West at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
