Soccer Game Preview: Pana vs. Newton

Pana hasn't had much luck against Newton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Panthers will face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pana is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Vandalia by a score of 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Pana as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Newton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Salem last Thursday.

The Eagles hit the Wildcats with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brock Anderson (2), Henry Will, and Luke Farley.

Pana's win bumped their record up to 4-16-1. As for Newton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4-2.

Pana might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Newton in their previous meeting back in September. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 5-0.
