Basketball Game Preview: Green Valley Gators vs. Desert Oasis Diamondbacks

Green Valley and Desert Oasis are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Green Valley Gators just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Green Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Green Valley is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since January 19, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley, sneaking past 57-54.

Green Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Da?Quan Brown led the charge by putting up 12 points. Lamarcus Carter was another key player, earning 11 points.

Meanwhile, Desert Oasis came up short against Rancho on Thursday and fell 64-55. The Diamondbacks haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Green Valley pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Desert Oasis, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Green Valley came up short against Desert Oasis in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 60-55. Can Green Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
