Football Game Preview: Weehawken Indians vs. Wallington Panthers

The Weehawken Indians will face off against the Wallington Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Weehawken and five for Wallington.

Weehawken is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They and Bogota were almost perfectly matched up on Thursday, but the Indians suffered a 61-60 defeat. Even if the Indians couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wallington and St. Mary meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Panthers were dealt a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Gaels. The Panthers were down 35-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Wallington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Weehawken, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Weehawken against Wallington when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-14 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
