Basketball Game Preview: Empire Ravens vs. Safford Bulldogs

Empire is 0-7 against Safford since January of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Empire Ravens will welcome the Safford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Empire is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Sabino and fell 49-7. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Sabercats are ranked 77th).

Meanwhile, Safford lost 52-32 to Round Valley on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Elks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Safford's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Empire, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
