Baseball Recap: Seffner Christian Wins Going Away Against Zephyrhills Christian Academy

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Seffner Christian walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors on Monday as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Crusaders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Ryder Stephens looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Seffner Christian is undefeated when Stephens allows one or fewer hits, but 8-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Seffner Christian got a massive performance out of Mason McBane, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave McBane a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Juelz Sidoti, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Seffner Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Seffner Christian's record is now 12-10. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Seffner Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Victory Christian Academy on the 15th. Zephyrhills Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
