Recap: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Aynor Blue Jackets
There's no place like home for the Georgetown Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 61-51 victory over Aynor on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Georgetown also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Ty Stanley had an outrageously good game as he scored 20 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Jari Ford was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Aynor saw an underclassman step up: Robinson Mendez dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Mitchell, who scored ten points along with two steals.
The win got Georgetown back to even at 12-12. As for Aynor, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown will take on Dillon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Georgetown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 175 points over their last three matchups. As for Aynor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Loris at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Loris presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Aynor in South Carolina (Loris is ranked 73rd, while Aynor is ranked 285th).
