Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Orangewood Christian

A well-balanced attack led Orangewood Christian over Merritt Island Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Orangewood Christian Rams blew past the Merritt Island Christian Cougars 66-40. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on three straight.

Orangewood Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryne Ruemler, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Ruemler a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Toadvine, who went 7 of 15 en route to 16 points along with six boards and five steals.

Orangewood Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Merritt Island Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Orangewood Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-38 defeat against Faith Christian on the 3rd. Merritt Island Christian has also already played their next contest, a 57-45 loss against Calvary Chapel Academy on the 3rd.
