Battle scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson City Jays. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 55-52 to the Jays when the teams met back in October of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Battle's record now sits at 0-8. As for Jefferson City, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
