Basketball Recap: Bishop Canevin Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Bishop Canevin Crusaders came up short against the North Allegheny Tigers and fell 52-42. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Tigers are ranked 158th).

Bishop Canevin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for North Allegheny, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Bishop Canevin will challenge McGuffey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Allegheny has already played their next contest, a 44-37 defeat against Sewickley Academy on the 30th.
