Perryville has gone  a perfect 5-0 against Joppatowne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Panthers will welcome the Mariners  at 6:00  p.m. Perryville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1  runs per game  this season.
Having struggled with four  losses in a row, Perryville  turned things around against Tome  last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp  13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Taegan Spier was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   seven  hits. Spier was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.

 In other batting news,  Taylor McGuirk was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kyle Seidle, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs.
 Perryville was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .448. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Joppatowne). They skirted past City College  9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Mariners have posted  since April 8, 2024.
 Joppatowne's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Perryville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
 Perryville took their  win against Joppatowne  in their previous meeting  back in March by a conclusive  12-6 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success,  or do  the Mariners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
