Softball Recap: Hobart Starts Season with Victory at Home

Hobart took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Chesterton Trojans. The victory continues a trend for the Brickies in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

Nora Hornak was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taylor Lopez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Coming up, Hobart will host La Porte at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chesterton, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Griffith at 5:00 p.m.
