Recap: Bayshore Bruins vs. Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons
The Bayshore Bruins's and the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons's game on Friday was close at halftime, but the Bayshore Bruins turned on the heat in the second half with 47 points. Bayshore breezed by Saint Stephen's Episcopal at home to the tune of 76-48. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, as Bayshore did.
William Strawbridge continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Demetrios Kimon was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Saint Stephen's Episcopal's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Owen Li, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Yatros, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
The victory got Bayshore back to even at 2-2. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayshore will challenge Venice at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Venice focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they will head out on the road to face off against Out-of-Door Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Out-of-Door Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
