They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 81-55 walloping at the hands of Basis Independent Silicon Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Apostles Lutheran in their matchups with Basis Independent Silicon Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Apostles Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeremy Bork. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with two steals. Bork has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Chris Kim was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Robert Ji continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, scoring 38 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ji has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Wang, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Apostles Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
