Softball Recap: Metea Valley Takes a Loss

Metea Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Yorkville Foxes. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Metea Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Yorkville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metea Valley will face off against Aurora Central Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Yorkville, they will challenge Bolingbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
