Soccer Recap: Uxbridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Whitinsville Christian on Friday, Uxbridge came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Uxbridge came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Assabet Valley RVT are ranked 128th).

Uxbridge's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2-2. As for Assabet Valley RVT, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Uxbridge will venture away from home to take on University Park at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will head out to face off against Millbury at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
