Volleyball Game Preview: Gardiner Tigers vs. Medomak Valley Panthers

The Gardiner Tigers will take on the Medomak Valley Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Gardiner is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Yarmouth just ended the team's ten-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Clippers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since October 24, 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Yarmouth scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Medomak Valley came up short against Mount Desert Island last Saturday and fell 3-1.

While Medomak Valley ultimately came up short, they really made Mount Desert Island work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 17-25, 26-24.

Medomak Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gardiner, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
