Basketball Recap: Rising Sun Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Rising Sun took on Perryville on Monday. The Rising Sun Tigers walked away with a 53-42 win over the Perryville Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Perryville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaleyah Croxsell, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, Croxsell also racked up five blocks, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Carsyn Hulbert also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.

Rising Sun's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Perryville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

Rising Sun didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-36 loss against Patterson Mill on the 5th. As for Perryville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-33 win against Elkton on the 4th.
