Recap: Victory Christian Lions vs. Ragland Purple Devils
There's no place like home for the Victory Christian Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 72-70 win over Ragland on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Peyton Scott was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Victory Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Victory Christian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Ragland, the last time they won on the road was back on Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 3-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Talladega County Central the next time they take the court. Ragland will head out to face Talladega County Central at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Victory Christian will host them at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
