Basketball Recap: Back of the Yards College Prep Comes Up Short

Back of the Yards College Prep suffered their closest defeat since January 11, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Juarez Eagles by a score of 51-49. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-28 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Back of the Yards College Prep still got an impressive performance from Glen Howell, who posted 22 points along with seven assists and five steals. Howell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Back of the Yards College Prep and nudges their season record down to 11-8. As for Juarez, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Back of the Yards College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-58 loss against Noble Street College Prep on the 13th. As for Juarez, they will take on Chicago Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
