Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Christian Falls to Haines City in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Lakeland Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Haines City Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2015.

Lakeland Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 15-10.

The win got Haines City back to even at 1-1.

Lakeland Christian has already played their next contest (against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Haines City, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Kathleen on the 19th.
