Softball Game Preview: Ravenna Ravens vs. West Branch Warriors

The Ravenna Ravens will square off against the West Branch Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ravenna is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Northwestern just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 12-4.

Boardman hit West Branch with a five-run first inning last Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 13-3 to the Spartans.

Josie Milliken was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

West Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Ravenna, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Ravenna suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to West Branch in their previous meeting back in April of 2015. Can the Ravens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
