Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Lester Prairie

Lester Prairie came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured an 80-74 W against the St. Mary's Knights. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Knights back in January, they had to take a 82-57 loss.

Lester Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-2.

Lester Prairie and St. Mary's should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Lester Prairie will face off against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 163 places (146 vs. 309). Meanwhile, St. Mary's (ranked 57th) will meet Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (ranked 250th) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
